We anticipated a downturn in the number of sales was coming: we borrowed buyers from the future in 2020 and 2021 with the pandemic-era fueled home sales. In 2023, higher interest rates depressed inventory and dampened buyer enthusiasm leading to a market with few listings and significantly fewer sales.
