Embrace debate! I could have gone on for a while and I am sure I missed some. This list was easy to create because theirs a lot I love about the Cape. That's why I live here and enjoy talking to buyers about all the things I love. Here is my list...
THE SPRING AND FALL The summers are great, but nothing beats a surprise spring or fall beach day when the summer crowds are gone.
THE CAPE LEAGUE No secret that I love the Cape League. The hour drive to Fenway, Gillette, and the Garden is great, but the ability to have a relaxed summer night and watch future MLB stars up close is pretty cool.
THE RESTAURANTS My wife loves seafood and I love seafood restaurants. I don't tell many people, but I don't really even eat seafood. I know... I love the atmosphere and the quality that Cape restaurants have.
THE VARIETY OF BEACHES From Cataumet to Falmouth to Nantucket sound to the Bayside to the National Seashore, I love the variety each shoreline offers.
THE TRADITIONS AND EVENTS It seems that every year the towns step it up when it comes to holiday and seasonal traditions. Oyster'Fest, Cranberry harvest, Christmas Stolls, 4th of July Parades. The Cape has them all.
COOL NIGHTS I love AC when I sleep, but sometimes all you need to do is crack the window on the Cape. Fog and a breeze off the ocean cool the evenings on the Cape. It is typically 10 - 15 deg cooler on the Cape than in the rest of MA.
THE DIFFERENT DOWNTOWNS Almost every town has a different feel. The quaint downtowns and the unique attractions give the Cape a lot of variety for whatever you are in the mood for.
THE HISTORY I like old homes and the history and preservation that you find all over the Cape.
BACKYARD BBQ’S Very rarely too hot at night for a backyard bbq on the Cape.
VISITS FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY The Cape is a destination spot that family and friends like to visit. Get the extra bedroom! You never know how many friends you have until you get a Cape House.
